Full Description
{1} Blocks 9 and 10 contain spatially expansive discrete areas of magnetic enhancement which probably define areas of geological variability and/ or the position of a palaeochannel. An archaeological origin for some of these anomalies cannot be discounted but is deemed unlikely.
{2} Trenches 65 and 67 were positioned adjacent to the eastern boundary to identify the presence of a possible palaeochannel. In Trench 67 there was a layer of blue clay 1.60m below ground level which was overlain with a thick layer of orange sandy clay with flint gravel. The edges of this layer were not identified.
