Full Description
{1} Trial trench excavation undertaken prior to development. Archaeological features were identified in one trench and comprised a posthole which contained a single sherd of St Neot's ware pottery dating to the late Saxon period and the remains of a stone-founded building and associated clay floor. The building was depicted on Ordnance Survey maps from 1885 until 1969. It was likely an open-fronted agricultural building, such as a shelter shed. There were also a number of external rubbish pits containing 19th-century material.
