Full Description
{1} Use of cast iron gravestones commenced during the early 17th century. Generally much cheaper than stone but more susceptible to the vagaries of fashion. Brigstock church is known to contain iron gravestones.
{2} Trench cut through grass on the north side of the tower for a lightning conductor earth. The trench was too shallow to cut through anything other than turf and topsoil. No archaeological features or finds recovered.
{3} Present boundary shown but may have changed over time.
