Full Description
{1} Four ditch type anomalies are visible apparently meeting at a central point. It seems most likely that these reflect former field divisions, although it is possible that some or all of them may be part of a drainage system.
{2} Ditch 309 was a large (2.3m wide, 0.45m deep) ditch orientated north-west to south-east with very steep sides, a flat base and filled with a dark yellow brown silty clay. On the eastern side of the ditch were 2 smaller gullies orientated north west to south east. Gully 305 had steep edges, a flat base and measured 480mm wide by 100mm deep. Gully 307 had very steep edges, a flat base and measured 430mm wide by 240mm deep. Trench 4 also contained a small gully, 500mm wide by 250mm deep with steep sides and a flat base. No finds were recovered.
