Full Description

{1} Three postholes lay at the far south east corner of the site. The postholes measured 0.41-0.55 in diameter by 0.08-0.18m deep, with steep sided profiles and flat bases and were set between 1.0m and 1.7m apart. Two of the postholes contained a considerable amount of late Bronze Age/ early Iron Age pottery. Similar features excavated on the site to the east had exhibited signs of having been deliberately filled, possibly as some form of ritual deposition (5118/0/2). It is possible that similar acts were also being undertaken here.
