Full Description
{1} The majority of the pottery is Roman or late Saxon and medieval, occurring in an even distribution with no discernable concentrations. They probably represent manure scatters. Early-middle Saxon pottery was found in isolated findspots and probably form part of diffuse scatters over a wide area of the valley side.
