Description

House. Datestone J/RM/1819. Squared coursed limestone with Collyweston slate roof. Originally 2-unit plan with attached barn; now 3-unit plan at right angles to Church Street. 2 storeys. Elevation abutting Church Street is a one-window range with a shallow bow window at ground floor, modified C20, and having flanking recessed panels, probably for shutters. Plain sash window at first floor has moulded wood surround with roundels at the corners. Raised band at ground floor cill level, half hipped oof and lateral stack to left. Elevation to right is an irregular 4-window range at first floor, with 3 sash windows with glazing bars, set under eaves and one casement window to far right. C20 casement windows at ground floor. 4-panelled door with fielded panels to right, under wood lintel. C20 door to left of centre and 4 panel door to far left, both under wood lintels. Centre section is rendered. Central stone stack. Elevation to left of Church Street has a break towards the centre. Sash a d casement windows to far left and right. Interior not inspected.
