Description

Farmhouse, now nursing home. Datestone 1720. Mid C18 and C19. Squared coursed limestone with Colleyweston slate roof. Originally 3-unit plan. 2 storeys. 5-window range. C19 two-storey canted bay window, to far right, has casements at ground floor and sash windows with glazing bars at first floor. Other windows are casements, some with leaded lights, under wood lintels. 6-panel door, to left of centre, has early C20 porch. Ashlar gable parapets and ashlar stacks at ridge and end. Outbuilding to r ar, now forming part of house, has date 1720 on quoins. Evidence of 2 builds to rear elevation. Interior: kitchen to left of entrance has remains of open fireplace with bressumer. Some C18 two-panel doors with original ironmongery.
