Description
Shown on O.S. map as Rose Cottage. Cottage. Early C18. Coursed squared ironstone, slate roof, flanking brick stacks. 2 storeys and attic, 8 bays. Central doorway has half-glazed 3-panel door and wood lintel continued over sash windows with side lights to left. C20 wood casement windows to right with old wood lintel. C19 sash windows with side lights and stop chamfered wood lintels on first floor. Coped gable ends with kneelers. Extension to left C19, has datestone G.L. 1840. Interior not inspected but noted as having open fireplace with bread oven and chamfered spine beams.
