Description

Pond surround. C.1905. By Sir Reginald Blomfield for Lord Brassey. Ashlar. A moulded stone edging surrounds the rectangular pond which has outward curving sections on its shorter sides. Forms a significant group with the Sunken Garden terrace (qv) and the other items at Apethorpe surrounding the house. The gardens at Apethorpe are included in the English Heritage Register Parks and Gardens at Grade II.
