Description
House. Probably C17 origins, altered C18 and C19. Squared coursed limestone with C20 plain tile roof. T-shape plan. 2 storeys. 2-window range of C19 casements under wood lintels. Central C20 door, also under wood lintel. Left corner is corbelled and chamfered. Brick and stone stacks at ends, similar wing to rear. Interior: room to right of entrance has remains of open fireplace with bressumer and stop-chamfered spine beams. Said to have been built from masonry from a chantry chapel which stood i the churchyard of the Church of St. Nicholas (q.v.). There is minor evidence of reused masonry.
