Description

House. Late C17 and C18 with datestone 1763. Squared coursed ironstone with Colleyweston slate, Welsh slate and pantile roofs. Originally 2-unit plan. 2 storeys. Elevation to road of 2-window range of C19 casements in C18 openings with flat arch heads and keyblocks. Ashlar string course between floors and ashlar cornice. Ashlar gable parapets and stone stacks at ends with moulded cornices. One-window range attached to right has C19 ground floor casement with moulded stone architrave and keyblock with linking string course. Barn with roofed carriage arch attached to far right has C19 window and door and ashlar gable parapets. Rear of house has central C17 gable projections with C19 and C20 extensions. Ashlar gable parapets and kneelers, one with carved face. Single storey stables attached to rear have pantile roof and datestone 1763 in gable end. Interior not inspected but noted as having ceiling beams and some original roof structure.
