Description
Cottage. c.1800-22. Red brick in Flemish bond with flared headers, graded slate roof, brick ridge stack. 2 storeys and attic; 3-window range. Central panelled door with pointed arched head. 2-light Gothick casement windows with similar heads and timber Y-tracery, that to attic in pedimental gable. Deep overhanging eaves. One of a group of 4 detached cottages on east side of the Green, forming part of a model estate village. Built for the 3rd Earl of Pomfret. (Buildings of England: Northamptonshire: 1973, p265)
