Description
Retaining wall. Probably early C18 for Sir John Germain. Squared coursed limestone with ashlar coping. Central semi-circular bastion on main east/west axis of Drayton House (q.v.) forms terrace for Statue of Samson and the Philistine approximately 110 metres east of east front of Drayton House (q.v.). (Gardens included in HBMCE Register of Parks and Gardens at grade I.
