Description

Retaining wall. Probably early C18 for Sir John Germain. Squared coursed limestone with ashlar coping. Central semi-circular bastion on main east/west axis of Drayton House (q.v.) forms terrace for Statue of Samson and the Philistine approximately 110 metres east of east front of Drayton House (q.v.).
