Listed Building: Manor Farmhouse and former Seahorse Public House (13/75)

Probably Dower House now farmhouse and former public house. C17, C18 and C19. Squared coursed limestone and limestone and lias ashlar with Collyweston slate roof. Original plan indeterminate, now double depth. 2 storeys with attic. Main front is 6-window range, with the centre bay breaking forward as a gabled cross-wing. 2-window range to left of cross-wing is Manor Farmhouse and has 3-light stone mullion windows to the first floor. Large C19 casement window to ground floor far left, under shallow stone arch, and C19 sash window to left of cross-wing. C19 part-glazed door, between windows, has square-head with moulded stone surround. Cross-wing has a 4-light stone mullion window to ground floor with a similar 3-light window to first floor. Venetian style window to attic. Two 2-light stone mullion windows to left return of cross-wing. 3-window range to right of cross-wing is lias ashlar with limestone dressings, probably remodelled C19. Tall wooden cross-windows with ashlar surrounds and keyblocks. Doorway to left of centre. Ranges of 3 roof dormers to either side of cross-wing have alternating triangular and segmental pediments. Ashlar gable parapets and ashlar ridge and end stacks, with moulded cornices. C19 one-bay extension attached to right has blind ground floor window. Cross-wing projects to rear, with C19 ranges running parallel in both directions. Interiors not inspected but probably have remains of open fireplaces and said to have some C17 fireplaces.
