Description

School and attached school house, now house and Village Hall. Early and mid C19. Squared coursed limestone with Collyweston and Welsh slate roofs. Originally probably one unit schoolroom and house forming a rectangular plan, now irregular L-shaped plan. Single storey. Early C19 four window range of C19 casements with moulded stone surrounds and hood moulds. Central gabled, ashlar, porch with arch head doorways. C19 plank door. Hipped roof with lateral stone stacks. Mid C19 school room extension, at right angles to right. Pair of large wooden cross windows, in gable end, with diamond leaded panes and hood mould over. Gabled porch projects to left and has C19 door with strap hinges. Brudenell arms above left hand entrance. Mid C19 parallel range to rear. Interior not inspected. Included for group value.
