Description
House. Dated 1696. Coursed squared ironstone, corrugated asbestos roof replacing thatch, brick end stacks on stone bases. 3-unit plan. 2 storeys and attic; 4-window range. C20 central door with gabled tile hood on brackets. Datestone above inscribed E/AH/1696. 2-light casement windows except for small single-light ground and first floor windows to far left. Door and windows have timber lintels. Single-storey extension to left with many C20 alterations and C20 back door. Stone coped gables with kneelers. Interior has stop-chamfered spine beams, open fireplace with bar-stop-chamfered bressumer. Collar truss roof. Sub-divided into 2 cottages, re-united c.1940.
