Description
2 houses, now shops with offices over. C16 with C18-C20 alterations. Stone and brick. Stucco front with plinth, floor bands and parapet. Tile roof with end stacks. 3 storeys. 4-window range at first floor of 9/6 sashes with 6/6 sashes over. C20 shop fronts and, to left, door with overlight and flat moulded hood. INTERIOR. Chamfered bridging beams include one with sunk quadrant moulding. On a landing two doorways have moulded architraves with moulding dying above shaped ogee stops at plinth level. Tudor-arched moulded stone fireplace on second floor. Winder stair round octagonal newel from first floor to attic in rear stair turret. Probably C18 coupled rafter roof has 2 tiers of purlins and many renewals.
