Local List: The Maidwell Building, St George's Avenue (WNC)

Date assigned
Date last amended

Description

The college building was built in three main phases between 1932 and 1937, although funding limitations meant that a south range was not added until 1959-61. The earlier phases were completed in a neo-Georgian style while the later addition was executed in a contrasting modern style. The 1960s infill and rear block have now been demolished. The remaining elements of this building are locally listed.
