Description

Farmhouse. Dated 1685 (?) altered C19 and C20. Coursed limestone rubble, C20 plain-tile roof, brick end and ridge stacks, the latter on stone base. 3-unit plan. 2 storeys and attic; 3-window range. Wide central bay is gabled and projects slightly with 3-light casement window to ground floor, 2-light casements to 1st and attic floor, all with wood lintels. Blocked door to left of central bay with wood lintel, a 3-light casement to ground floor right of bay, 2-light casements to 1st and attic floor left and right, all with wood lintels, those to attic in gabled dormers. Ironstone-coped gables with kneelers. Datestone to right dormer gable inscribed P/1AOV/1685(?). 2-storey, 2-window, C20 extension to right with entrance to rear. Interior has chamfered spine beams with ogee stops and open fireplace with chamfered bressumer.
