Description

House, formerly farmhouse. Dated 1776. Red brick in Flemish bond with some flared headers, ridged tile roof, brick ridge and end stacks. L-plan. 2 storeys and attic. Three-window main front has C20 door with overlight and straight hood on brackets. Canted bay window to left with pair of horned sash windows to front, 8-pane sashes to sides. 12-pane horned sash window to ground floor right with gauged brick lintel. Similar sashes to first floor with brick headers to lintels. Datestone above door inscribed B/VE/1776. Ironstone plinth, storey band in English bond, brick modillion eaves. Stone-coped gable to right with kneelers, hipped roof to left. Wing to rear left has irregular fenestration and rear portion of coursed squared limestone and ironstone. Wing continued by single-storey extension of coursed limestone rubble. Interior not inspected.
