Description

House, now 3 cottages. C17 with later additions and alterations. Coursed limestone rubble with slate and Collyweston stone slate roofs, coped left gable and moulded stone and brick ridge and end stacks. 2 storeys. Original house (Nos. 19 and 25) retains a 3-light ovolo-moulded stone-mullioned window to ground and first floor in right-hand bay (the ground floor one concealed from exterior by later one-storey outbuilding). Left-hand part masked by later extension. Addition to right (No.23) has a C20 door to left and a single-light window to right of ground floor, 2 2-light casement windows with wooden lintels above and various blocked openings. Rear has gabled wing and a picturesque variety of small-paned windows, including inner and a cross casement and a horizontally-sliding sash window. Interior of No. 19 altered but retains part of C17/C18 stair with turned balusters, and spine beam and inglenook in left-hand room. Interiors of Nos. 23 and 25 not inspected.
