Description

House. Dated IP 1767. Coursed limestone rubble with plain tile roof, coped gables and brick end stacks. 2 storeys and attic, 3-window range. Central 6-panel door (upper 4 panels glazed) with traceried overlight and hood. Gudgeon-hung iron-framed casement windows with overlights and wooden lintels of 2 lights above door, 3-light otherwise. 3 hipped dormers the central one blind and with a painted sundial, the flanking ones 2-light casements. Square stone with cornice (probably datestone, but now illegible) set in left gable end. Lean-to to rear and rear gabled wing, heightened in buff brick, contains shop. Interior altered but retains small inglenook fireplace with plain bressumer in ground floor left hand room.
