Description
Shown as Post Office on Ordnance Survey map. House. Late C18 and C19. Squared coursed limestone with Colleyweston slate asbestos slate and pantile roofs. Originally 2-unit plan. 2 storeys. 2-window range. Leaded casements with some original glass, under wood lintel, at first floor. Early C20 casements, under wood lintels, at ground floor. Central C20 door also under wood lintel. Stone stacks at ends. C19 outbuilding attached to left has pantile roof and now forms part of main house. Rear elevation has 2 leaded casements, with some original glass, under wood lintels. Lean-to extension at rear has asbestos slate roof. Interior not inspected but room to left of entrance probably has open fireplace. (RCHM: An Inventory of Architectural Monuments in North Northamptonshire: p74)
