Description

Stone circular dovecote in ploughed field 75m from house. Brick-lined, nesting boxes filled in, brick supports built to carry water tank in upper part. Other water installations at ground level. Hat-shaped stone roof crowned by lantern, with eaves projecting over heavily-moulded cornice. Probably C17. {AM7} Building in excellent condition. Woodwork newly painted, window panes and lantern glass intact, sloping slates in good order. {AM12 1979}
