Description

House. Early C18 remodelled late C18. Limestone ashlar with slate roof. Double-depth plan. 3 storeys. Main front of 5-window range. Central 6-panelled door with glazed toplights has arch-head fanlight with glazing bars and moulded stone surround with pilasters and open pediment. Sash windows reducing at first and second floor: all have glazing bars and stone lintels with flush keyblocks. Plain string course between floors. Moulded stone cornice with plain parapet above shallow gabled roof with stone stacks at ends. Rear of house is early C18 and has lean-to roof. C19 cast iron railings with gates attached to main front. Interior: entrance hall has late C18 staircase with turned balusters, part restored. Rooms at rear have spine beams.
