Description
Former farmhouse, now house. Late C17. Coursed ironstone rubble, plain tile roof, brick end and ridge stacks, those to ridge and right end with stone bases. 3-unit through-passage plan. 2 storeys and attic; 3-window range. Central C20 plank door with hood mould, 3-light casement windows, replacing mullions, to either side with hood moulds and moulded stone surround to that to right, a 2-light casement window to far left with moulded stone lintel and hood moulds, a small rectangular window to far right with moulded wood frame in chamfered stone surround. 3-light ovolo mullion leaded windows with hood moulds to first floor, except for that to left of 2 lights. Interior has stop-chamfered spine beams, some original stop-chamfered joists, open fireplace with stop-chamfered bressumer and stone fireplace with 4-centred arched head. Formerly thatched.
