Description
House. Early C19. Stucco with slate roof. Centre block of 3-unit plan. 2 storeys, 5-window range. 3 central windows break forward in a large semi-circular bow with conical roof. Sash windows with moulded and eared architraves throughout. Shallow hipped roof with modillion cornice and stuccoed stacks at ridge and eaves. Rusticated quoins. 2-bay wings to left and right are probably later C19, stuccoed with sash windows and gabled roof. Stuccoed porch at the junction of the left flanking wing and the main house has a moulded architrave and pilasters supporting an entablature with dentilled moulded cornice. The walls are rusticated. The rear elevation has a similar semi-circular bay. The ground floor centre room has central double doors with moulded architrave and pediment, flanked by arched recesses with glazed doors. The lower sashes of the windows in this room pass into the wall space above. There are similar windows to the centre room at the rear. The first floor room above has extensive built-in C19 wardrobes and matching fire surround.
