Description
Four houses. 1860-64 for Lady Overstone, extended C20. Squared coursed lias with slate roof. Originally each of 2-unit plans. 2 storeys. Together comprising a 4-window range of double sashes, with glazing bars (one replaced), under flat arch heads with ashlar surrounds. The centre 2 bays break forward with gables above and slit windows in the apex. C20 doors set in original wooden cames. Porches to left and right of Nos. 2 and 3. Oversailing eaves and brick and stone stacks at ridge. Nos. 1 and 4 have C20 extensions to far left and right which are not of special architectural interest. Interiors not inspected. Included for group value.
