Description
Four houses. 1860-64 for Lady Overstone. Squared coursed lias with slate roof. Originally each of 2-unit plans. 2 storeys. Together comprising a 4-window range of double sashes with glazing bars, one replaced, under flat arch heads with ashlar surrounds. The centre 2 bays break forward with gables above and slit windows in the apex. C20 doors set in original wooden cames. Porches to left and right of Nos. 6 and 7. Oversailing eaves and brick and stone stacks at ridge. Nos. 5 and 8 have gabled porches in gable walls to left and right with slit windows in apex. Interiors not inspected.
