Description
Row of 5 houses. 1860-64 for Lady Overstone. Regular coursed lias with ashlar dressings and slate roof. Originally each of 2-unit plans. 2 storeys. Together comprising a 5-window range of 2-,3- and 4-light wood-mullioned windows, all with cast-iron lozenge glazing bars under flat arches with ashlar surround. The second and fourth bay break forward with gables above. Canted stone bays with similar glazing at ground floor and slit windows at the apex. No. 10 and No. 12 have C20 doors set in original corner porches. No. 11 has C20 porch to right of centre. Oversailing eaves and brick and stone stacks at ridge. Nos. 9 and 13 have gabled porches in gable wall to left and right with slit windows in apex. Interiors not inspected.
