Description
2 houses. Early C19, with C20 alterations. Squared coursed limestone with thatch roof. Originally each of 2-unit plans. Simple cottage orne style. Single storey. Together comprising a 4-window range of casements, 2 replaced C20, all under wood lintels. Central 2 bays are set back under open gabled porch supported on 2 square wood posts. Doors in return walls; No. 29 has plank door and No. 31 has C20 door, both under wood lintels. Hipped roof with bargeboards to centre gable. Rebuilt lateral brick stacks at ends. C20 garage attached to right. 2-stage buttress to left side. Interiors not inspected. Included for group value. Originally estate houses for Fermyn Woods Hall (q.v.).
