Description
Public house. Late C17, C18 remodelled and extended C19. Squared coursed limestone with slate roof. Originally 3-unit plan. 2 storeys. 4-window range, at first floor, of casements with glazing bars under wood lintels. 2- and 3-light stone mullion windows to ground floor right and 6-light stone mullion bay window to left. Central C20 door has 4-centred arch head under wood lintel. Brick stacks at ridge and end. T-shape range attached to left is part single storey with 2-window range of early C20 casements to left. Gabled cross wing breaks forward to right of centre with casement windows under wood lintels. C20 door, to right of cross wing, has 4-centred arch head under wood lintel. Ashlar gable parapets have reset corbels with carved faces to left gable. Brick and stone stacks at ridge and end. Range to left may have been a separate building originally. Interior has ceiling beams.
