Description
House. C16 origins, probably altered mid C18. Squared coursed limestone with thatch roof. Originally 2-unit plan. 2 storeys. 3-window range of C19 casements under wood lintels. First floor centre window is C20 casement. Central 4-panelled door with glazing has C19 gabled hood. 2-stage ashlar buttress, to far right, and chamfered plinth. Ashlar gable parapet to left has trefoil moulding to gablet at kneeler. Rebuilt brick stacks. C20 extension to rear. Interior: room to left has open fireplace with bressumer and remains of bread oven. Moulded beam above fireplace and on line of hall wall. C19 staircase with broad stick balusters.
