Description

House, formerly farmhouse. Dated 1675, altered and partly rebuilt C19. Coursed squared limestone with ironstone dressings and banding, slate roof, brick end stacks. 3-unit through-passage plan. 2-storey, 4-window range. 4-panel door to left of centre with stone surround and Tudor-arched head. Date stone above of ironstone with four-leafed clover, initials T/IE above and T/TM below. Section to right of door is banded with ironstone and has 3-light wave-moulded stone mullion windows to ground and 1st floor, those to ground floor with hood moulds and relieving arches of alternating limestone and ironstone blocks. 3-light wood mullion and transom window to ground floor left of door and 3-light casement windows to first floor left of centre with stone jamb and lintels. Ironstone quoins and stone-coped gables with kneelers. Interior: chamfered spine beams and one large Tudor-arched stone fireplace with cut spandrels.
