Description

House. Probably C17 origins, remodelled early C19. Regular coursed limestone with limestone ashlar façade. Colleyweston slate and C20 plain tile roofs. Originally 2-unit plan now L-shape. 2 storeys. Main front of 3-window range. Central 6-panel door with glazed toplights, panelled reveals and moulded wood surround. Sash windows with glazing bars under stone lintels with keyblocks. Ashlar gable parapets and brick and ashlar stacks at ends. Left gable has evidence of probable C17 building. 2-storey outbuilding of 3-window range attached to left has Colleyweston slate roof. Interior: entrance hall has early C19 staircase with stick balustrade. Room to right of entrance has open fireplace with bressumer and early C19 six-panelled doors and moulded architraves with roundels at corners. Similar window surrounds. Panelled window reveals.
