Description
House, now house and 2 shops. Probably early/mid C18, altered mid C19. Squared coursed limestone and ironstone, part rendered; elevation to street is brick. C20 plain-tile roof. Originally probably 3-unit plan at right angles to road. 3 storeys. Elevation to road is a one-window range with C19 canted wooden bays with sashes to first and second floor. C19 shop front at ground floor, modified C20. Mansard roof with brick and stone stack at ridge. Elevation to right is a 3-window range of irregularly spaced sash and casement windows under wood lintels. Second floor left is a 3-light leaded casement. Central 4-panel, part-glazed, door. This elevation is on 2 planes, probably indicating 2 builds. Interior: centre room has remains of open fireplace with salt cupboards; some fielded panelled doors. Bay abutting street may originally have been timber-framed.
