Description
Row of 4 houses, formerly 5. No. 2 is probably early C18, others are late C18. Squared coursed and ashlar limestone with Colleyweston slate roofs. Originally one and 2-unit plans. 2 storeys. Together comprising a 7-window range of C19 and C20 casements, some with glazing bars, all under wood lintels. No. 2 has a C19 shop type window with glazing bars to left. C20 doors and porches between window ranges. No. 2 has a lower eaves level, part catslide, and there is evidence of 2 builds between Nos. 6 and 7. No. 2 has ashlar gable parapet to left. Brick and ashlar stacks at ridge and ends. Interior of No. 2 has open fireplace with bressumer and chamfered ceiling beams. Chamfered post in porch is said to have marked boundary between Great and Little Weldon.
