Description
Shown as No.25 on Ordnance Survey map. Manor house. Early C18. Lias ashlar with original plain-tile and slate roofs. Double-depth plan. 2 storeys with attic. Entrance front of 3-window range. Central ashlar porch has pilasters at corners, simple cornice and flat roof. 6-panel door with glazed top lights and arch head fanlight. Sash windows with glazing bars under gauged stone arches. Flat string course between floors. Moulded ashlar cornice and gabled roof dormers with casement windows. Hipped roof with brick stacks at ridge. Early C19 one bay extension to left has similar first floor window and hipped slate roof. Elevation to right of entrance front is similar of 2-window range with blank window to first floor left. Garden front to rear of entrance front is also similar: 3-window range with central C19 French windows with margin lights. Early C19 extension to right has 2 narrow sash windows with glazing bars. Interior: entrance hall has C18 style staircase altered C20. Some 6-panelled and panelled window reveals.
