Description
Farmhouse. Perhaps C14 origins with datestones 1588, 1764 and 1888. Regular coursed lias and ironstone with asbestos tile and pantile roof. T-shape plan. 2 storeys. Entrance front of 3-window range of casements with glazing bars under wood lintels. Central C19 four-panel door under wood lintel with C19 wooden porch. Projecting wing to left is probably early C18 with 2 leaded casements to first floor of gable end. C19 canted wood bay with stone base on return wall has leaded casements. Ashlar gable parapets and kneelers and brick and ashlar stacks at ridge and end. Stack on left gable is octagonal. Datestones above door are probably reset (illegible tablet in left gable). Right gable has remains of C14 two-light window. Early C19 wing to rear has leaded casements and stone flight of steps to first floor door. Interior: first floor room in projecting wing has C17 panelling with decorated frieze; probably reset.
