Description

House. Dated 1729. Coursed squared ironstone, slate roof, brick end stacks. 2-unit plan. 2 storeys and attic; 3-window range. Central 6-panel door with overlight and gabled hood on brackets. C19 plate-glass sash windows throughout with stone lintels with keyblocks. Datestone above central first floor window inscribed B/AM/1729. Wave-chamfered plinth, quoins, moulded stone eaves and stone-coped gables with kneelers. 2 gabled dormers left and right of rooflight. Interior has boxed spine beams, open fireplace with stop-chamfered bressumer, a room with fielded panelling, dado rail with Greek key pattern, corner cupboard with shaped shelves and C19 marble chimneypiece. Open-well staircase with turned balusters and collar truss roof.
