Description
House. Mid/late C18. Squared coursed limestone with thatch and slate roof. Originally probably 3-unit plan, then subdivided. 2 storeys. 5-window range at first floor with iron casement and one horizontal iron sash to left. Other windows are C19 casements, those at ground floor have glazing bars and are under shallow brick arches. Central C20 casement replaces doorway. C20 door to left of centre also under shallow brick arch. Brick stacks at ridge and end. Rear elevation has C19 lean-to extension with slate roof. Interior has remains of late C18/early C19 open fireplaces. Probably converted to 3 dwellings early C19. (RCHM: An Inventory of Architectural Monuments in North Northamptonshire: p42)
