Description
House. Dated 1593, altered C19 and extended C20. Coursed limestone rubble with ironstone dressings and ironstone additions, fish-scale tile roof with coped gables. One storey and attic. Main block. 2-window range. Central C19 gabled porch with C20 door. 2-light chamfered ironstone-mullioned windows to either side. 2 similar gabled half-dormers, but with limestone mullions. One bay addition to left, probably orignally an outbuilding, raised and now with C20 windows. Corresponding C20 one-bay addition to right with sympathetic details. Interior: ground-floor right-hand room has inglenook with modern lining but with massive bressumer inscribed 15CH93.
