Description

Large house. C17 or C18 origin, altered and extended C18. Coursed limestone rubble with ashlar dressings. Colleyweston stone slate roof with coped gables and moulded stone ridge and end stacks. 2 main blocks, that to left lower, probably older and of 3 bays. Left-hand bay has a 2-light stone-mullioned window with cornice to ground and first floors. Second bay is gabled and projects with a rectangular stone-mullioned bay window to ground floor, a 2-light mullioned window with cornice to first floor and a blind shield above. Third bay has a gabled porch with painted finial contrasting board door. Single-light window to left and a 2-light window with cornice above. Right-hand part has a 2-light and a 3-light mullioned window with cornices to ground floor and a similar 3-light window above. 2-storey wing to rear. Interior not inspected.
