Description
House. Datestone F/TE/1709, restored early C20. Squared limestone with early C20 plain tile roof. 3-unit plan. 2 storeys. 3-window range of C20 casements in original openings under wood lintels. 4-panel door to left of centre has plaster surround and flat-topped head. 4-panel door to far right also has plaster surround. Ashlar gable parapets and brick and stone stacks to ridge and end. Datestone to right of centre. Left gable has 2 single-light first floor windows under wood lintels. Single-unit C18 range attached to rear reconstructed early C20. Interior not inspected but noted as having open fireplace with bressumer and ceiling beams. Left gable has ancient pear tree trained against it from which the house takes its name.
