Description
Well-head. Probably C17. Travertine. Circular with square top. Winged heads at corners. Probably Italian origin, possibly reset when the gardens were remodelled by Reginald Blomfield, early C20. (Country Life: March 20th 1909: p414-423; March 27th 1909: p450-459)
