Description
Roughly circular enclosure at bottom of small valley on Boulders Clay. Ramparts are well-defined, up to 1m at highest point, 5m wide. Traces of ditch outside enclosure, and signs of an entrance to NW, when bank and ditch are interrupted, to form a 10m causeway. Dimensions approx 100m x 120m. Aerial photographs show two ditches approaching site from north west; westerly ditch swerves to avoid site; easterly gives onto enclosures surrounding ditch. No surface finds. {AM7 1976} Bank lower than 1m at maximum height, more like 70cms. {AM12 1980}
