Description

Shown as Manor Cottage on ordnance survey map. House. C17 extended early C18. Squared coursed limestone and lias with Collyweston slate roof. Originally 2-unit now 3-unit plan. Single storey with attic. 3-window range. Central, 5-light, canted ovolo-moulded stone mullion window with slate roof. Small C19 casement, to far right, and horizontal sliding sash window, with glazing bars, to left; both under wood lintels. 3 hipped eaves dormers have similar horizontal sliding sashes. Plank door, under wood lintel, to right of centre. Remains of ashlar stacks at ridge and end. C20 one-bay extension, to right, in progress at time of inspection. Rear elevation similar with horizontal sliding sash windows. Interior; centre room has open fireplace with bressumer. Room to right added C18. Doorway between this room and centre room was the original external door. C20 extension to right is not of special architectural interest.
