Description
Farmhouse. Dated 1813. Coursed squared ironstone, slate roof, brick ridge and end stacks. 3-unit plan. 2-storey, 4-window range. 6-panel door to left of centre with flat-arched head. C19 sash windows to ground and first floor with flat-arched heads except for 2-light casement window to ground floor right with wood lintel. Datestone to first floor centre with round-arched head inscribed S/Z & M/1813. Quoins and stone-coped gables with kneelers. Single-storey outbuilding to left with flat roof, formerly stable. 2-storey outbuilding to right, wash-house to ground floor, pigeon loft to first floor. Attached 3-bay barn to far right with cattle shed and hayloft under same roof to right end. Interior: farmhouse has stone-flagged floors. Barn has trusses with tie and collar beams and raking struts.
