Description

Farmhouse. Dated 1692. Ironstone ashlar, old tile roof, brick end and ridge stacks. L-plan. 2 storeys and attic, 5-window range. Entrance front to yard has central 6-panelled double-leaf door with moulded stone surround and hood mould and small horizontal oval window above with raised stone surround and 2-light ogee-moulded stone mullion windows with moulded sills and hood moulds throughout. Datestone below central first floor window inscribed I/TE/1692. Moulded stone plinth, eaves and stone-coped gables with kneelers. Wing to rear left of banded ironstone and limestone has similar windows and stone coped rear gable with kneelers and one ball finial. Similar windows without hood moulds and banded stonework to rear. Interior has ogee-stop-chamfered spine beams, ogee-stop moulded spine beams, stone flagged floors, open fireplace with ogee-stop-chamfered bressumer, a bolection moulded stone fireplace in upper floor and collar truss roof.
